Thursday Things

More snow came today, its safe to say its here to stay. I'm just glad that its not freezing yet but I'm sure that will change soon.

Today I lost my phone, not surprising I know. I looked all over my room and a friends car but I couldn't find it. So I retraced our tracks from the day Culver's and then Micheal's (PS I found an amazing sale on cardstock there today.) but nothing. So we came back to the dorms and decided to check my friends car again, she called it and BAM there it was. Of course, but I I'm glad I got my phone.

My boss came back today and made some amazing soup. It was so so so good.

I think that is my day in my a nutshell, hope yours was good.

Its abstract

Today while doing rounds I found a penis drawing on a chalk board and since there are only a few people in the building its not to hard to narrow the suspects down. But this post isn't about who drew it but the drawing itself. See this penis is actually cute, kinda abstract, but still very cute. I can't bring myself to erase it. If only actual penises looked like this drawing, I dare say its even adorable, with its little smiley face on its balls. I want to meet the "artist" and be his friend, I feel like he would be a funny dude. Is that weird?? Probably, but I don't care.

I hope this wasn't to far out of y'all's comfort zone.

People in Payne

There are people back in Payne and I don't like it. It was nice being alone but silly hockey players need to practice, psh whatever.

Also today, I went to bath and body works and they were having pretty amazing sales so if need to stuff from them I suggest you go pronto :)

Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a merry Christmas! I did, all things considering. I'm glad that I got to Skype with my family this afternoon. I also had made Christmas chili with a friend and then went to a movie. It just goes to show how blessed how I am, missing so many amazing people and having the miss me.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Sooo, I was going to rewrite Twas the Night Before Christmas to represent Payne Hall but that was to hard and I'm to lazy. Instead I'm going to share with you my absolute favorite Christmas song

Every year, like in the video, my church ends its service with singing this song with the lights off and candles lit. I went to church in Marquette this year but it wasn't the same. I missed walking up to the church with a path lit by candles and missed singing this song by candle.

Tired

I'm so tired, this one is going to be a short one.

I have been seeing a lot of stuff online about the Warrior Dash. I did a little bit of research on it today and it looks so much fun. There is one in Mt.Morris about an hour and a half from my house in late July. Its 3.25 miles of this is the rout How much fun would this be, like for real. I'm not much of a runner, to put it lightly but I want to do this. So I have decided to start training ahhhhh. Running a 5k is on my bucket list so why not do it big. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it :D

2 posts in one day

Since I forgot to post yesterday I will post 2 today, lucky you!!! Here are some quick facts

1) Got my grades tonight, passes my art history class which means GRADUATION IN MAY! :D Couldn't be happier.

2) Our lobby got new furniture today, it looks amazing and so does the new carpet.

4) Shipping a box that weights 18lbs priority mail costs a lot of money. But my family will have my presents in time for Christmas.

5) Third Street Bagel's remodel is so adorable, if you haven't seen it yet GO! NOW! Ok, probably not right now because they are closed, but tomorrow for sure.

6) Payne is nastay! I'm glad I'm here to make it clean.

7) I'm watching the Justin Beiber special on TLC right now. I love him so much :D

What I Wore Wednesday

For those of you who don't know some craft/cooking/fashion blogs do what they call "What I Wore Wednesday" I have decided to do my version of this. This is what I wore today...kinda.


I was reppin' NMU Hockey. What What!!



It was sunny this morning when I went to mail Christmas presents home and run to Peter White so I rocked my shades. These ones are broken, I totally fixed them with a paper clip, eff yeah. I love them so much I couldn't help myself.



Finally, my radio. Any covering RA knows that this thing is the worst thing ever. I really don't care that you need 3 inch screws but alas, we must carry it. And never ever leave it the volume up at night, learned that one the hard way at 7:50 am Monday morning.




OH, today when I was doing radio check I totally forgot what I was saying right in the middle of saying it and busted out laughing so EVERYONE heard me. True Cassie style right there.

1st and 2nd day of Christmas

So I have 2 of the best coworkers/friends a girl could ask for. Audrey and Liz gave me a present to open everyday until Christmas.

Last night, I open them at midnight because I'm to excited to wait, I opened the first one which was:

Tonight I opened:


A "NEW" COFFEE POT! I'm assuming it is to replace the one I broke a couple weeks ago, they are so good, its one of the weird ones that has to have the lip to push the button on the filter part, I hope you understood that.

Its going to be a very long break, I'm bored already. I have made a list of things to get done over break

1) finish my cover letter
2) send my cover letter out
3) clean my room
4) rearrange my room
5) new door decs (any ideas)
6) new duty/bulletin boards
7) get money

I think its a pretty good list, back to watching weird Canadian movies and eating homemade mac and cheese

Rough Day

Went to Kayla's graduation this morning then went to her apartment for lunch/help her move out/say goodbye. It was bitter sweet. After she left I hung out with the rest my my friends ate some dinner and played some games. I only have 2 residents left and we are closing the building tomorrow morning. Thats all for now

A little late

This post is a little late, its been a crazy day. I took my last final at noon did some stuff around MQT. Went to dinner with Audrey and Liz, kinda, had a meeting and went to hockey and to some bars with a bunch of friends. And had about 15 check outs.

With most of my house gone and most of the building, its starting to hit me that I will not be home for Christmas. Its really sad for me because its my favorite holiday and a huge deal in my family. But thanks to technology I will homeish for Christmas. Its a blessing that I have a family to miss and that will miss me and that is what I'm going to focus on.

Kayla is graduating tomorrow so I'm off to bed. Hope you all slept well

A Challenge

Well its been a crazy semester, as I continue to push off studying for my last final I can't help but to reflect on it. The semester was a challenge personalty and academically, my classes were hard, I spent more time in the library this semester then the last 8 put together. I have struggled all semester with what to do after graduation in May. I want to do everything but I know that its physically impossible and financially, well lets not even start to think about that. I know that in the end everything will work about the way its supposed to and (about to go all Jesusy on you) the Lord will see me through.

A huge plus this semester was that I was blessed with 44 amazing girls. My residents are crazy but as their RA I can't help but love them. There were some days that I didn't know what to do, I would open my door and BAM there would be a note on my white board or someone standing there just waiting to put a smile on my face. I don't think they realize just how much they influence my life, could not ask fro a better group of girls. I just hope that I had half the impact on their life as they did on mine.

But back to the reason of this blog. I am covering my building for the entire break what this means is that I will be alone for a month. To keep form going crazy I have decided to challenge myself!! I will be posting a new blog once a day. I really really really hope that this happens. And I hope that you continue to read my posts and comment, I will be needing human interaction :)
